- You may still insert or swipe your card as needed
Current Walden Savings Bank cards will automatically be upgraded and mailed throughout 2026. You may also visit any branch location to be upgraded immediately while you wait!
Tap-to- Pay Contactless Debit Card FAQs
Tap-to-Pay (contactless) cards allow you to complete a transaction by tapping your debit card on a contactless-enabled terminal instead of inserting or swiping. This allows for a faster, more convenient experience and also offers an additional level of security in comparison to swiping. The security level is equal to or better than chip transactions.
Tap-to-Pay debit cards area available now at all Walden Savings Bank branches. Simply visit any branch and we can replace your current card while you wait!
Otherwise, you will automatically be mailed a new card over the coming months. All current WSB customers will be issued new cards throughout the year. Please contact us for more details should you have specific questions related to scheduling.
Anywhere contactless payments are accepted. Simply look for the contactless symbol. This includes Walden Savings Bank ATM machines. If contactless is unavailable at the merchant, our new card still works via chip or swipe.

YES! Both business and personal customers will have access to our new Tap-to-Pay debit cards. The business cards will be distinguished with the “business” logo in the upper right-hand corner and will be reissued and mailed over the coming months. Business customers may also upgrade their card(s) immediately at any WSB branch location.
- It is important to note that your current debit card will be deactivated once your new Tap-to-Pay card is active. For cards received by mail, you will have 90 days to activate your new card once received.
- Be sure to update your new card information within mobile wallet to avoid any disruption.
- As many customers have card information saved for payments (Amazon, Netflix, Utilities, etc.) it is important that you make updates with your new card information to ensure future payments are processed.
- Ensure your card details are updated within WSB Card Control available within online and mobile banking. If you've not previously added your card to our Card Control platform, now is the perfect time!
