WALDEN SAVINGS BANK PARTICIPATES IN REDEDICATION CEREMONY

Back in 2001 Walden Savings Bank was a huge supporter of the 5 day playground build at Wooster’s Grove in Walden. Just 8 weeks after 9/11…this project sponsored by the Walden Local Development Corporation (WLDC) brought over 1,000 volunteers together in a dark time in our nation. Yesterday - on the 20th Anniversary- many of the original WLDC committee members came back to rededicate the playground & also dedicate 2 new tables. Serving on the main playground committee back in 2001 from the bank were Director Peter Masci, Gail Swalm, then President David Cocks and current president Derrik Wynkoop.
