WALDEN SAVINGS BANK CELEBRATES YOUNG ARTISTS

Walden Savings Bank celebrated Circleville Art Show contributors and their parents on Friday, March 17 at a reception held at the Bank’s Circleville branch. Contributors were students from Circleville Elementary School and Pakanasink Elementary School, grades K-5. The featured work was selected by the Circleville Elementary School and Pakanasink Elementary School teachers based on a number of specifications, including the artist’s aptitude and the overall message of the piece. “March is Youth Art Month, a time to celebrate the importance of art programs,” said Jessica Torres, Art Teacher at Pakanasink Elementary School. “Visual arts promote creativity and help students develop important skills, such as problem solving and communication. Our students are so proud to see their work on display at the Bank.” Those in attendance enjoyed treats and refreshments while viewing the featured artwork. Derrik R. Wynkoop, President and CEO of Walden Savings Bank, recognized each of the students in attendance. “Walden Savings Bank is known for their involvement in the community,” said Heidi DiPonio, Art Teacher at Circleville Elementary School. “I couldn’t think of a better way to bring people together than through the arts and by celebrating our students’ creativity.” Throughout the month of March, the featured artwork will be on display to the public at the Bank’s Circleville location.
